Simlipal Tour Packages

Eastern Ghats and Central Indian landscapes are a component of the 2750 sq. km. Simlipal Tiger Reserve. Similipal is a National Park, Wildlife Sanctuary, Biosphere Reserve, and a portion of the Mayurbhanj Elephant Reserve in addition to being a Tiger Reserve.

The profusion of Semul or Red Silk Cotton trees that blossom brilliantly in Simlipal’s woodland is whence the city gets its name. Simlipal’s huge tracts of woodland are a singular combination of savannahs, high level sal, semi-evergreen grasslands, and deciduous trees.

FLORA AND FAUNA-

It is home to many different kinds of flora and wildlife, including 99 non-flowering plant species, 361 bird species, 55 animal species, 21 amphibian species, and 62 reptile species. There are also more than 1253 species of flowering plants. As well as spectacular waterfalls like Barehipani, Joranda, and Uski, Sitakund-Deokund-Bhimkund waterfalls, steep cliffs, and lush valleys sprinkled with sylvan Sal woods, the Similipal Tiger Reserve in the northern part of the state is also blessed with these features. It supports 94 species of orchids, 72 of which are Himalayan species, many of which are endemic and in risk of extinction.

Many species of rare, threatened, endangered, and fragile plants and animals exist. Examples of this distinctive biodiversity include Spotted Deer, Sambar, Elephants, Hornbills, Chousinghas, Bison, Porcupines, Pangolins, Wild Boars, Barking Deer, Jungle Cats, Mouse Deer, Giant Squirrels, Flying Squirrels, Ruddy Mongoose, Mugger Crocodile, and Rufous Tailed Hare.
